Entertainment pundit Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, popularly known as KOKA, has claimed that former President John Dramani Mahama lacks a solid understanding of Ghana’s economic issues.

In a conversation on Kwadwo Sheldon Studios, the staunch NPP member argued that Mahama, being a communications expert, made his five questions posed to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ambiguous.

“Because Mahama offered communications and doesn’t understand economists, you feel it’s all about question asking. His highest level of education is post-communication.

“If he (Mahama) is labelling himself as someone who is a well-informed person. He should back anything he says with facts and data,” he said.

KOKA urged Mahama to support his claims with facts and data if he considers himself well-informed.

He also encouraged the NDC flagbearer to accept a presidential debate with Bawumia, suggesting it would help clarify his questions.

“If Mahama wants his five questions answered by Bawumia, he should agree to a debate with him,” he added.

Background

On October 30th, 2024, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, responded to the five questions posed by his main contender, John Mahama, regarding Ghana’s economy.

He described Mahama’s questions as flimsy and countered by listing fifty (50) questions related to the current Akufo-Addo administration.
