William Worfa Kpormatsi, a former parliamentary aspirant of the Akatsi South NDC, has called on Assembly members of the Akatsi South Municipal Assembly to rally their support behind the presidential and parliamentary candidates of the National Democratic Congress ahead of the December 7th polls.

In an interactive session with the assembly members on Sunday, Mr. Kpormatsi sought their support for the presidential and parliamentary aspirations of H.E. John Dramani Mahama and Hon. Bernard Ahiafor, respectively. He emphasized that anything short of victory would not be good for the party, youth, business groups, and ordinary Ghanaians, as Bawumia’s chairmanship as the leader of the Economic Management Team has only witnessed the purchasing power of a Ghanaian being reduced drastically from 100 products in 2016 to 22 products with the same amount of money in 2024.

The business mogul lamented that the 2024 general elections offer the NDC the opportunity to return to power to rescue the suffering Ghanaians. He warned that individual differences cannot take away the party’s victory at the December 7th polls.

Speaking to the assembly members, Worfa William Kpormatsi noted, “I am worried, and you should be worried too, that if we do not win the 2024 elections, it means we will be in opposition again for the next eight years. How will your electorates survive the unbearable and satanic hardship?”

He stated that the ruling New Patriotic Party has failed the country and that angry Ghanaians are looking up to H.E. John Dramani Mahama and the NDC for a way forward. Addressing the Assembly members, Mr. Kpormatsi expressed optimism that the party would emerge victorious in the December 7th, 2024 elections.

He warned that posterity and history will not forgive the party and its leaders if they fail to make sacrifices, put differences aside, and answer the call of Ghanaians to rescue them from the ruling New Patriotic Party.

He appealed to Assembly members to work vigorously in their electoral areas because of “the plight of Ghanaians and the unpardonable failure of the ruling party,” promising that the best three Assembly members who achieve the highest turnover rate relative to NDC votes and reduce spoiled ballots in their various electoral areas shall be rewarded marvellously. Assembly members who raised concerns over how they were treated during their Assembly contest were also asked to let go of their pains for the sake of President Mahama and the NDC.

“I appeal to our Assembly members and leaders in the name of God to put their differences aside and unite for the sake of President John Dramani Mahama as a sacrifice to rescue the country,” he shared while giving his final speech.
