Nottingham Forest star, Callum Hudson-Odoi has expressed interest in playing for the English national team again despite being overlooked for years.
The 24-year-old is an English-born winger with a Ghanaian descent and happens to be the son of former Hearts of Oak player Bismark Odoi.
The skillful wideman has already played for England at all junior levels and has three appearances with the Three Lions – which means he is still eligible to switch nationality
Due to this reason, the Ghana Football Association have been in talks with the ex- Chelsea man for a possible nationality switch to play for the four-time African champions for years now but haven’t received any positive response yet.
With lots of Ghanaian football faithfuls hoping to have him in the Black Stars, Hudson-Odoi in a recent interview has fended off his chances of playing for Ghana by stating he is willing to honour any invitation to return to the English national team as he hopes to earn that very soon to prove his worth and quality once more.
“If the possibility and chance come for me to make an England return, I will have to go there and prove myself again.”
Callum Hudson-Odoi has five goals and two assists in 28 matches this season in all competitions for the Tricky-Trees.
