Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has expressed confidence in the Black Stars as they prepare for their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Madagascar.
Despite the team’s recent struggles, Adams remains optimistic that they will rediscover their best form and secure vital victories in both fixtures. He believes winning these matches will significantly strengthen Ghana’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup.
“I know the Black Stars are going to win against Chad and Madagascar,” Adams stated, as quoted by 3Sports on X.
Meanwhile, players called up for the qualifiers have begun reporting to camp, with the Black Stars set to commence training on Monday, March 17, 2025.
Ghana will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 21 before traveling to face Madagascar in an away fixture on March 24.
The Black Stars currently sit second in Group I with nine points, level with leaders Comoros, while Madagascar and Mali follow with seven and five points, respectively.
