Former NDC National Organiser aspirant, Henry Osei Akoto
A former parliamentary candidate for the Oforikrom constituency, Henry Osei Akoto, has praised the Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, and his deputy, Thomas Nyarko Ampem, for their engagement ahead of the presentation of the 2025 Budget and Economic Policy.
The former parliamentary candidate made these remarks while reacting to visuals of Dr Ato Forson and Nyarko Ampem engaging market women and other Ghanaians ahead of the reading of the budget in a post shared on X on Monday, March 10, 2025.
He indicated that the actions of the minister and his deputy show traits of servant leaders.
Osei Akoto, who is also a former National Organiser of the NDC aspirant, went on to taunt the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), asserting that they would remain in opposition for a long time should the NDC continue the way it is going.
“If NDC sustains this servant leadership for the next 4 years, NPP will go extinct,” Osei Akoto wrote on X.
Finance minister Dr Ato Forson and deputy finance minister Nyarko Ampem visited some markets in the country ahead of the reading of the budget.
The visuals shared by Osei Akoto showed Dr Ato Forson engaging a woman in a jewellery shop and Nyarko Ampem speaking to a trader in a market.
