Asante Kotoko are top of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League standings at the end of Week 23.The Ghanaian top-flight league resumed this past weekend after going on suspension for four weeks following a stabbing incident that led to the death of staunch Asante Kotoko supporter Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley.During Week 23 games, Asante Kotoko hosted Legon Cities FC at Baba Yara Sports Stadium and cruised past the opponent with a 2-0 victory.The three points earned put the Porcupine Warriors at the top of the Premier League standings with 37 points.The team is joined in the top four of the table by Bibiani Gold Stars, Hearts of Oak, and Heart of Lions.Defending champions FC Samartex are 9th on the league log, while Medeama and Aduana Stars occupy the 6th and 13th spots, respectively.The teams battling relegation at this stage of the league competition include Karela United, Legon Cities FC, and Accra Lions.It is important to note that all 18 participating clubs have three outstanding matches to play.
