The fixture was officially suspended less than half an hour before kick-off was scheduled to take place (21:00 CET). ‘DAZN’ confirmed the reason was due to a member of Barcelona’s medical staff passing away, with both clubs following with statements.
The Catalan side wrote: “FC Barcelona is deeply saddened to announce the passing of first-team doctor Carles Minarro this evening. For this reason, the match between FC Barcelona and CA Osasuna has been postponed to a later date. The FC Barcelona Board of Directors and all the staff extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time”
