Okumanini Baffour Asare Kyeahene II, Affutuakwamanhene (L)
Okumanini Baffour Asare Kyeahene II, Affutuakwamanhene in the Assin Central Municipality of the Central Region, has charged chiefs to always uphold the truth to leave a good legacy for their descendants.
The paramount chief made the call when three new chiefs—Nana Boakye Yiadom, Efutufohene; Nana Arkoh II, Apesemakahene; and Nana Takyi Boadi, Ntotohene—swore the oath of allegiance to him at a colorful ceremony at his palace.
Okumanini Kyeahene urged the new chiefs to uphold the values of honesty, integrity, and fairness as they discharged their duties without fear or favor.
Regarding the acquisition and sale of lands, he cautioned the new chiefs against selling lands to multiple people or parties, highlighting the potential for conflicts and disputes that may arise from such actions.
Instead, he admonished them to prioritize truthfulness and transparency in all their dealings, particularly concerning land ownership and management.
Okumanini Kyeahene emphasized that this approach would not only maintain peace and stability within their communities but also ensure they left behind a legacy built on a foundation of integrity and trust.
Additionally, he urged them to work together and support efforts to maintain a stable and harmonious environment at all times.
The chiefs, in turn, lauded Okumanini Kyeahene for his wise counsel and promised to abide by his advice to promote peace in their various communities.
