Musician cum businessman, Nhyiraba Kojo
Popular Ghanaian musician cum businessman, Nhyiraba Kojo, has debunked reports that he had been arrested by the police in the United States.
He has threatened to take legal action against people parading such claims.
One would recall that some media platforms shared pictures of Nhyiraba Kojo next to a police vehicle, alleging that he had been picked over fraud-related charges pertaining to Hajia-4Reall’s case.
However, speaking to blogger Bessah GH upon his return to Ghana at the Kotoka International Airport on March 4, 2025, Nhyiraba Kojo denied being arrested and explained the story behind the picture circulating on social media.
“I have no issue with the police, Interpol or the FBI. I went to the US for business and I have family there I went to visit. I’m going to take legal action. It’s not true,” he stated.
He added, “They enjoy saying things that aren’t true. So I’m going to take legal action this time around.”
Explaining the picture that captured someone like him next to a police vehicle, Nhyiraba Kojo clarified, “That picture of me is the source of the problem. What happened was that I had parked in between two police vehicles and was navigating to my vehicle.
“If you saw the picture, there were no officers present or anything. The vehicle was just there. People saw that picture and just ran with it.”
Nhyiraba Kojo has been accused multiple times of being involved in fraudulent activities by individuals who have been actively probing the source of his wealth.
