With a few months before the summer transfer window opens, Arsenal are taking stock of their current squad options and where they are at as a club.
The Gunners have a few deals expiring this summer, with three players entering the final months of their contract.
Among those is Thomas Partey, who Arsenal are open to offering a new contract, but only if he accepts a pay cut.
Beyond the next few months, William Saliba has two years left of his contract, with the Gunners open to kickstarting talks over an improved stay.
While those talks could get underway soon, there is another star who should be on the radar at Arsenal for a renewal.

Arsenal must open contract talks for Bukayo Saka soon
Another star who is nearing the final two years of his contract at the Emirates Stadium is Bukayo Saka.
The winger signed a four-year deal in 2023 with the view of the side competing for silverware at the top level.
While it may be early to think about another contract, the reality is that the years very quickly creep up on the team.
Once Saka enters the final year, it may be even tougher to negotiate a stay, meaning some early talks opening up now could signal intent over a long-term stay.
When asked about the future of Saka and Saliba, who both have deals until 2027, Arteta responded recently: “I think those communications or decisions are made over time so we understand when we have to act.
“Players and agents are fully aware what the intentions of the club are. And in the right moment, we have these discussions.
Mikel Arteta on contract renewal talks with Saliba & Saka: “I’m sure we are very aware of the contractual situation of every player, so they will be dealing with those kind of matters. [Have talks started?] I don’t know.” pic.twitter.com/r2BX2esklM

“I’m sure we’re very aware of the contractual situation of every player so they will be dealing with those kind of matters.”
It suggests that Arsenal are certainly onto the situation, one which could help keep the project going with some faith as Saka is one of the best in the squad who can commit to the future.
It would be a move that Arsene Wenger would no doubt love, based on what he has previously said about the England international.

Arsene Wenger wants Bukayo Saka to stay at Arsenal for years
Legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has already called upon Saka to stay at the club for years to come in an interview involving plenty of praise for the star.
Speaking previously to beIN Sports, Wenger said: “As a person, I don’t know him well enough to assess his personality. The only thing I can tell you is from the noises that get out from the club.
“He is an exceptional person, and his behaviour is impeccable. As a football player, he is top-class. I like the fact that he takes the responsibility in the big games.
“He doesn’t moan a lot and gets on with it, he gets kicked a lot. I would like him to be more standing up against things, although he’s not scared of anybody.
“He tries until the last minute. He’s disciplined, he’s a team player. I must say, for me, he’s exceptional.
“I hope we [Arsenal] can keep him for a long time because he’s an exceptional football player.”
It’s plenty of praise from Wenger, who has managed some of the best at Arsenal and knows talent when he spots it.
