The New Patriotic Party (NPP) caucus in parliament has triggered Article 112(3) to demand the Speaker recall parliament.
The NPP is demanding Speaker Alban Bagbin to recall parliament to attend to urgent government business.
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Bagbin, on 17 October 2024 officially declared four parliamentary seats vacant.
