The current depart in Ghana has to do with the remaining of the Kotoka International Airport. Kotoka International Airport was named after General Kotoka who overthrown His Excellency Dr. Kwame Nkrumah the first President of Ghana. The Editor-in-Chief of The Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt, has reacted to debate on social media.
Speaking live in an interview on Metro TV today, 26th February, 2025, Kwesi Pratt is of the view that His Excellency John Dramani Mahama should remove Kotoka’s name from the Airport immediately because he is the cause of some of the problems that Ghanaians are facing related to electricity crisis.
According Mr. Kwesi Pratt, the good intentions of His Excellency the first President of Ghana, Dr. Kwane Nkrumah was cut short after General Kotoka staged a coup against him. He further explained that, when Kotoka took over, he did nothing incredible to solve the existence power crisis and the problem persisted till today.
