In a season where not too many players have improved individually from the prior campaign, one player who has come on leaps and bounds is Moises Caicedo.
After making the move from Brighton for a Premier League record fee, it took Caicedo a while to prove why the club went all out to bring him in.
Fast forward to 2025 though, the Ecuador international is seen as arguably the best in his position in England, with his improvements under Enzo Maresca clear to see.
The manager is a huge fan of his too, with Maresca describing Caicedo as ‘fantastic’ following his performance against West Ham.

Enzo Maresca must rest Moises Caicedo for Chelsea vs Leicester
Even in the recent poor run of form, Chelsea fans have praised Caicedo for doing what he can in the middle of the park.
The importance of the South American is shown by the amount of minutes he has played in the Premier League this season.
Caicedo has started every single game in the competition this season, however it could be time for Maresca to make the call to bench him for the first time for their next Premier League game against Leicester City.
After picking up a needless yellow card against Southampton last time out, Caicedo is one booking away from a suspension.
With ten yellow cards holding a two game ban, he would miss the trip to Arsenal if he picked up a caution against Leicester.
Given the importance of that game, having arguably his best performer of the campaign available is crucial, and facing a side staring relegation in the face is the best opportunity.

Caicedo resting provides chance for Dewsbury-Hall to push for dream
One of the first signings Chelsea made by Maresca at Stamford Bridge saw him reunite with former Leicester City man Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
However, his playing time has largely been limited to cup competitions. He has started every game in the Conference League so far.
Dewsbury-Hall hoped a move to Chelsea would further his England hopes, however it can be argued he is even further away from that right now.
Starting against his former side would be the first step towards being able to prove to Thomas Tuchel that he should be considered for selection this year.
