Marcus Rashford and Antony have rediscovered their form after leaving Manchester United in January when they made loan moves to Aston Villa and Real Betis respectively

Bacary Sagna reckons the success of Marcus Rashford and Antony at new clubs proves Manchester United’s culture is rotten.
Rashford has rediscovered some of his best form again since leaving United to join Aston Villa on-loan for the rest of the season. While Brazilian winger Antony has scored three goals in six games since making his loan move to Real Betis.
And former Arsenal and Manchester City favourite Sagna believes this shows the problem lies with United and not the players. Sagna told Paddy Power: “It’s very difficult to understand why Marcus Rashford has returned to form at Aston Villa.
“He’s not the first player to leave and return to form. Antony left Manchester United and suddenly he’s shining with Real Betis, so something is surely wrong at Manchester United.
“You have two top players leaving the club, and suddenly making magic for their new respective clubs. I think it’s just a vibe, because if you’re not happy at one place emotionally, the delivery and output is different.
“Now they’ve left Manchester United, they are back smiling and having a direct and decisive impact on games – so something is surely wrong at United.”
Sagna, meanwhile, has told misfiring striker Rasmus Hojlund he is nowhere near good enough to be at United. Hojlund has scored just seven goals all season, and hasn’t found the back of the net in his last 16 outings.
Sagna added: “Rasmus Højlund’s confidence is very low. As a striker he needs to score and have a direct impact on the team, and it’s a big problem that he’s not doing that.
“I still believe he has talent, but he’s playing for a big club, and his form is not up to the requirements expected at Manchester United. If he was with another team he would have more time, but as a United striker you ideally need to be scoring in every game.
“I’m not sure that Manchester United have what it takes to rectify the situation.”
