Scenes of glorious celebration of life were witnessed at the Koforidua Jubilee Park earlier today, as saints, family, and friends gathered for the burial and memorial service of Elder Emmanuel Freeman Kofi Mireku (retd.), father of celebrated Ghanaian Gospel Musician and an Elder of THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST in good standing, Dr Elder Emmanuel Kwesi Mireku.
Elder Emmanuel Kofi Mireku was a devoted elder of The Church of Pentecost, rising through the ranks to become a presiding elder for many years. He was known for his love for prayer and healing grace.
Elder Mireku has mentored several people, with a number serving as apostles and pastors in The Church of Pentecost. Apostle Adjei Kwarteng, the Ashanti Regional RCC coordinator and a mentee of Elder Mireku, delivered the sermon for the day. He spoke on the theme “The Book of Life.”
He explained the essence of “The Book of Life” and how a person will end up in hell if their name isn’t found in it. He noted that a person’s name can only end up in this book if they accept Jesus as their Lord and Personal Savior.
Below are some scenes from the beautiful service.
