Some market women in Abuakwa South capital and the hometown of the president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo are begging for support.
According to the market women in an interview on Radio1, things are hard and expensive, and they don’t even have clean water to drink.
They are asking the president to do something about the cost of living as things are tough now.
“Nana, you are from here. Things are hard for your people. We love you and your party. Please don’t let us vote against our beloved party,” one market woman said.
“When we hope we have no clean water to use, our water bodies have been polluted, and electricity and water bills are high, we know you can do something about it, so please help us. We need help,” a market woman said in Twi.
The Kyebi water plant has been currently shut down due to polluted water.
