Jude Bellingham is Real Madrid’s ultimate clutch player

Jude Bellingham netted his sixth winning goal in stoppage-time since joining Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The England star has made a reputation as a late-goal specialist after he got on the scoresheet once again in the Champions League clash against Manchester City on Tuesday.

In a game with multiple clear-cut chances missed by the Spanish side, Bellingham found the back of the net in the 92nd minute, with a chip goal which completed Los Blancos’ comeback.

The Madrid star was also remembered for a stunning game in the middle of the field, winning the most duels and having three total shots throughout the game.

One of his biggest chances – a left-foot strike from inside the box – was confidently saved by Ederson.

However, Bellingham was Madrid’s hero once again after scoring his sixth stoppage-time winner since his move to the capital of Spain in 2023.

Just a month ago, the 21-year-old star scored another winner in a complicated away game against Valencia in LaLiga.

At the moment when many Madrid fans thought it would be a frustrating night with only one point taken from the Mestalla stadium, Bellingham beat the goalkeeper following the opponents’ defender Hugo Guillamon’s mistake.

Last year, the Englishman personally destroyed Barcelona’s hope for a triumph in LaLiga, with two stunning late goals in two games against the Catalans.

In April, his winning strike in the 91st minute of the game at the Santiago Bernabeu moved Madrid 11 points clear of their rivals in the league table.

Ultimately, he became LaLiga champion while also lifting the 2023-24 Champions League, after he bagged the winner against Union Berlin in the group stage to ensure a 1-0 win at home.

His stunning form in 2025 comes after a complicated season start, where he did not score in 14 games until November.

However, he is currently enjoying a brilliant year, with 11 goals and 10 assists in 33 games throughout the entire campaign.

Despite snatching victory at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday and a lead of one goal, Los Blancos will need another hero performance from Bellingham to secure qualification to the round of last 16 of the Champions League.
