Acting Managing Director of ECG, Ing. Julius Kpekpena
Ing. Julius Kpekpena has been appointed as the acting Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
Before his appointment, he served as the Director of Engineering at ECG and later headed to the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA).
Ing. Kpekpena is expected to address the revenue losses recorded by the power distribution company.
Additionally, he will assist the government’s efforts to resolve operational difficulties, meet power supply demands, and address other challenges.
In a statement issued by the former ECG Managing Director, Ing. David Boadi Asamoah, he urged the staff to support the new MD for the company’s growth and smooth operation.
“As I step aside, I remain fully committed to ECG’s success and will be supporting the new Acting MD, Ing. Kwame Kpekpena, to ensure a seamless transition and continued progress. I entreat everyone to throw their weight behind him, as you did for me, so that the company will reach even greater heights,” he said.
