A 40-year-old man, Kwabena Tandoh, also known as “Kwabena Ala-u,” has been found dead in a bush in Assin Bosomadwe, located in the Assin South District of the Central Region, under bizarre circumstances.
The deceased, a native of Assin Bosomadwe but currently residing in Assin Tomfokro, had been seeking spiritual healing for a swollen neck at a prayer camp in Akrampa.
According to his uncle, Abusuapanin Amponsah, Kwabena had been at the prayer centre for some time but suddenly went missing while undergoing treatment. A report was made to the police, and a search party was organized, but he could not be found.
Abusuapanin Amponsah expressed shock upon discovering his nephew’s lifeless body in the bush. Kwabena Tandoh’s body was found lying face down, partially clothed in black jeans trousers and a belt.
The community is shaken by the news, with some farmers and residents reporting a strong, unpleasant odour from the bush two days before the discovery.
Kwabena left behind two children, although he had been separated from his wife.
Meanwhile, the police in Assin South are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death to determine the cause.
