Acting CEO of Ghana Shippers Authority, Ransford Gyampo paid a working visit to the project site
Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), Professor Ransford Edward Gyampo, has expressed satisfaction with the progress of work at the Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal in the Ashanti Region.
During a working visit to the project site, Prof. Gyampo commended the efforts of Justmoh Construction Limited, a Ghanaian-owned construction firm, for its execution of the project.
The Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal, also known as the Boankra Inland Port, is a critical infrastructure project aimed at enhancing Ghana’s transportation network and boosting economic growth.
The inland port will serve as a hub for the transportation of goods and cargo, reducing congestion at the country’s ports and improving trade facilitation.
Prof. Gyampo assured the government’s support for the project’s completion, emphasizing the need to engage locally based companies in such projects.
“Local companies have the capacity to deliver, and it’s essential we support them,” he stated.
He explained that despite the financial challenges faced by the construction company, it is making significant efforts to accelerate progress and meet all deadlines.
“I must say they are doing a wonderful job,” he reiterated.
The project’s completion is expected to have a significant impact on Ghana’s economy, creating jobs and stimulating growth in the transportation and logistics sectors.
With the government’s support and the expertise of local companies like Justmoh Construction Limited, the Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal is poised to become a crucial component of Ghana’s economic infrastructure.
The Acting Chief Executive of the Ghana Shippers Authority, Prof. Gyampo, has pledged to advance Ghana’s commercial shipping sector through a stakeholder-centered and collaborative approach.
Dr. Justice Amo, Chief Executive Officer of Justmoh Construction Limited, assured Prof. Ransford Edward Gyampo and his team that his company would deliver exceptional work on the Boankra Inland Port project, justifying the significant investment made by the country.
According to Dr. Amo, this commitment is a testament to Justmoh Construction’s dedication to excellence and its role in driving Ghana’s economic growth.
The Project Director for the Boankra Inland Port, Dr. J.B. Koranteng Yorke, stated that phase one of the project is 82% complete and will be operational upon completion.
He added that the company is currently awaiting financial clearance from the government to expedite work at the site.
