Alejandro Garnacho shows true Manchester United colours with perfect four-word message

Alejandro Garnacho has shared a four-word message on social media after Manchester United’s unconvincing 2-1 comeback win over Leicester City on Friday night.

The Argentine came on at half-time – for new signing Patrick Dorgu – and provided the spark Ruben Amorim’s side needed after a lacklustre first 45 minutes at Old Trafford. The 20-year-old did not score or provide an assist, but his pace out wide stretched Leicester’s defence, who began to tire.

Garnacho was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window as United look to ease their PSR concerns. The wingers’ homegrown status represents pure profit for the Reds, giving them more leeway with the Premier League’s financial rules to sign players.

But Garnacho appears to be looking forward to United’s next cup opponents. The draw for the fifth round will be made on Monday evening at 7.10pm UK time.

“[Into the] FA Cup last 16,” he wrote on his Instagram story, alongside a picture of him in the United dressing room with his man-of-the-match trophy.

Garnacho revealed after the game that Amorim’s half-time message for him was simple. “He didn’t have to say too much,” the forward told MUTV. “He has said to me the things I have to do and I know what I can do.

“He said he wanted me to play my game and just enjoy [myself].”

Garnacho also admitted he is enjoying life under the Portuguese. He added: “I think he is a great guy.

“He likes to play real football. We have to work all together and we will be a better team in the future.”
