General Overseer of Radiant Palace Church, Apostle Emmanuel Inkoom
The General Overseer of Radiant Palace Church, Apostle Emmanuel Inkoom, has made a bold declaration that white weddings hold no spiritual or cultural significance in Africa.
According to him, pastors should focus on blessing traditional marriages instead of encouraging expensive white weddings which he deems irrelevant.
He further advised couples to invest in their future instead of spending lavishly on a ceremony that, in his view, holds no real value.
“A white wedding is not even a marriage. It has no spiritual significance, no cultural significance, only economic significance. It is simply an unnecessary financial burden on couples,” he said while speaking on Joy Prime TV.
Apostle Inkoom argued that marriage is fundamentally cultural, and in Africa, the traditional marriage is what truly binds a couple together.
“In the olden days, white gowns symbolized purity, but today, people wear them without understanding their meaning. We are blindly copying traditions that do not belong to us,” he added.
