Mary Rockstar, the former house help of Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene, has come under heavy criticism after publicly defending Prophet Ogyaba while condemning his alleged side chick for exposing him.
In a recent interview, Mary stated that if she were in the side chick’s position, she would have remained silent and enjoyed the benefits rather than bringing their issues into the public domain. She described the woman’s decision to expose Prophet Ogyaba as immature and unnecessary, suggesting that she should have handled the situation privately.
Her comments, however, did not sit well with many social media users, who immediately called her out for what they perceived as a flawed and questionable stance. Some critics went as far as mocking her appearance, with one person stating, “Ni wig asɛ Jezebel,” implying that her hairstyle resembled that of the biblical Jezebel, who was often associated with controversy and manipulation.
Others felt that Mary had no moral authority to dictate how the situation should have been handled, arguing that she was normalising infidelity and covering up wrongdoing.
“So according to her, women should keep quiet and accept being disrespected just because of money? What kind of mentality is this?” one outraged commenter wrote.
