FC Sheriff has announced the signing of promising young Nigerian striker, Elijah Odede after both parties reached a labor contract as officially communicated by the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Born in Ogbomosho on January 12, 2007, Odede has already made an impression during the winter training period. He scored two goals in friendly matches with the first team, finding the net against FC Milsami (in a 5-0 victory) and FC Petrocube (in a 1-3 defeat).
He joins the Moldovan club after completing his medical examinations. The transfer was brokered by prominent Israeli football agent Ronny Layous.
Odede’s development as a player includes stints at both Castle Football Academy and Ikon Allah Football Academy.
FC Sheriff’s management and staff have expressed their enthusiasm about welcoming this talented player to the club and wish him a successful career wearing the yellow and black jersey.
