How to make healthy soybean kebab at home

Making a healthy meal is a major priority for people who are concerned about what they consume to stay strong and live longer.

From oilless stews and soups to less salt and less pepper, people ensure they follow their diet plans for healthy living.

For those who prefer cooking at home rather than buying food from outside, here is how to prepare healthy soybean kebab for a get-together with friends, loved ones, and family; or even for your own enjoyment.

Before we delve deeper, it is important to know that soybeans belong to the legume family and are an excellent source of plant-based protein, fibre, and numerous vital nutrients.

Consuming soybeans helps lower cholesterol levels and also assists in reducing blood pressure while supporting bone health.

Now, preparing the soybean kebab takes approximately 40-50 minutes.

Ingredients:

– 2 cups of soybeans

– 4 medium lemons

– Soy sauce or kebab sauce

– 2 bell peppers

– 1meduim onion

– Soya sticks

– Cooking oil

– Tomato sauce

– 1 seasoning cube

Preparation:

Once you have all the ingredients ready, first soak 2 cups of soybeans for one day. After a day, drain the water and rinse the beans thoroughly. Wash and chop the onion and bell peppers.

In a blender, combine the soaked soybeans with water and blend until smooth. Then, strain the mixture to separate the milk from the pulp.

Set the pulp aside, and in a saucepan, pour in the fresh soybean milk and bring it to a boil.

Extract the juice from the lemons using a juicer or any chosen method. Once the milk starts boiling, add the lemon juice; this will cause it to curdle effectively.

Allow it to boil for an additional 5-10 minutes.

Remove it from the heat and let it cool down; you’ll notice it has formed cheese. Strain the curds to eliminate excess water, ensuring a firm texture.

Cut the cheese into smaller, square-shaped pieces. Place them in a bowl, add the seasoning cube, and let them marinate for 5-10 minutes. After the 10 minutes are over, proceed to fry them.

In a pan, heat 3 tablespoons of oil, add tomato sauce, and let it cook for 5 minutes.

Pour in the chopped onions and bell peppers, add a pinch of salt, and stir for 2 minutes.

Next, add the fried soybean pieces, mixing thoroughly, and incorporate 1 or 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, adjusting the seasoning to your preferred taste.

Finally, remove the pan from the heat and arrange the mixture on the soy sticks.

Once your soy kebab is ready, serve it with any drink or food of your choice and enjoy your meal!
