The latest Liverpool news as the full-back played 81 minutes of the 4-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday night
Former England captain David Beckham has sent a message to Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold following the Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen. The game saw the full-back play in Beckham’s Adidas Predator 24 boots.
Alexander-Arnold played 81 minutes of the game at Anfield on Tuesday night. A hat-trick from Luis Diaz and a goal from Coady Gakpo gave Liverpool a memorable 4-0 win over the German champions and moved them to the top of the group stage table.
The game against Leverkusen came on the same day the new Adidas Predator Beckham boots were released. There are just 3,000 pairs available globally, but Alexander-Arnold was one of the first to wear them, along with the likes of Alvaro Morata, Rodrigo De Paul and Marco Asensio.

Following the Champions League matches, Beckham took to social media to send a message to Alexander-Arnold and the other players who wore the boots. He wrote on Instagram: “Looking good! @trentarnold66”, along with a picture of the Liverpool man in action against Leverkusen.
Alexander-Arnold will have the chance to wear the boots again this weekend when Liverpool take on Aston Villa at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday. The Reds go into the game two points clear at the top of the table after both Manchester City and Arsenal fell to surprise losses last time out.
Villa, meanwhile, will be looking to end a run of four games without a win. Unai Emery’s side were also in Champions League action this week and fell to a 1-0 defeat against Club Brugge in strange circumstances thanks to Tyrone Mings’ handball in the box gigging away the decisive penalty.
