Ernest Yaw Anim, Member of Parliament for Kumawu, has emphasized the need for peace, unity, and collective support for the district’s development efforts.
He stated that it was time for the people to set aside their political differences and work together for the progress of Kumawu.
Addressing members of the Muslim community after donating food items to support the Eid-ul-Fitr festivities, Anim highlighted that development thrives in a peaceful and united environment and urged everyone to contribute towards the district’s growth and advancement.
The donated items included 30 bags of rice, 10 boxes of cooking oil, five boxes of mackerel, cartons of Milo, and a cash donation of GH¢10,000.00 to support the celebrations.
He stressed the importance of the people rallying behind whoever the President appoints as the District Chief Executive to ensure a smooth transition and the swift development of the area.
Alhaji Ustaz Abdul Rahim Nasirudeen Alhassan, the District Chief Imam, expressed profound gratitude to the MP for his continuous support of the Muslim community in the area.
He noted that such gestures were particularly valuable during Ramadan, as they help support the poor and needy who may otherwise struggle to partake in the festivities.
The donation reaffirms the MP’s commitment to promoting social inclusion, religious harmony, and development within the district, ensuring that all communities benefit from his leadership.
