A young boy, whose name has been withheld, is currently fighting for his life due to a severe illness and remains hospitalised in critical condition.
With his family struggling to afford medical expenses and the local hospital lacking the necessary facilities for his treatment, the situation has become dire.
Stepping in to provide urgent financial assistance, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, has donated GH¢30,000 to support the child’s medical care.
Recognising the gravity of the situation, she acted swiftly to ensure that financial constraints would not hinder his recovery.
Cudjoe expressed her gratitude to the local branch secretary in Daboasi, who brought the case to her attention and helped mobilize resources for the family.
She also called on the community to unite in support, emphasising the power of collective compassion in times of crisis.
Beyond this immediate intervention, the MP reaffirmed her commitment to improving healthcare facilities in rural communities within her constituency.
She pledged to work toward better-equipped hospitals to prevent similar challenges in the future.
Additionally, Cudjoe assured the family of her continued support, promising to stay in touch and assist in any way possible to ensure the boy’s full recovery.
She urged the public to keep him and his family in their prayers and to prioritize their own health for the well-being of Amenfi Central and Ghana as a whole.
