Armed Robbery on Manso Road in Ashanti Region – Traumatized Woman Shares Her Experience

Share

A frightening armed robbery has left passengers shaken after five armed robbers attacked travelers on the dangerous Manso road in the Ashanti Region. The robbers, heavily armed and ruthless, targeted unsuspecting travelers, mostly traders, stealing money, phones, and other valuables. The incident has reignited concerns about security on Ghana’s highways.

A victim of the attack shared her harrowing experience in a video posted on X by Eddie Wrt. She explained that a vehicle that had already been robbed attempted to warn them of the danger ahead, but their driver failed to recognize the signal. Moments later, their vehicle was ambushed and forced to stop. The robbers directed the passengers to a bushy area, where the victim saw three other vehicles that had already been robbed.

In fear for her safety, the victim managed to hide her phone in the seat cover with the help of a male passenger. The robbers then began to steal from the passengers, leaving them vulnerable. In a particularly disturbing detail, she revealed that female passengers who had no money were stripped of their clothes by the robbers.

Fortunately, there were no reported casualties, but the attack has revived concerns about the poor state of the Manso road, which has long been a hotspot for criminal activity due to its deteriorated condition. Many believe that the bad roads make it easier for criminals to target vehicles, as they are forced to slow down or stop.

The incident has sparked outrage across Ghana, with many urging authorities to improve security in the area and repair the roads to prevent future attacks. As investigations continue, passengers and traders who use the route regularly are left questioning their safety and wondering when the government will take action to protect them from such terrifying experiences.
