The National Sports Authority (NSA) has refuted claims that it has granted Hearts of Oak permission to play their outstanding Ghana Premier League (GPL) Matchweek 21 game against Nations FC on Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Authority whose main functions is to develop, organize, promote and manage competitive and social sports in Ghana specified that a special request from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is awaiting approval.
This development has compounded Hearts of Oak’s woes as they have faced difficulties in honoring matches on their home grounds.
In the ongoing 2024/24 season, Hearts of Oak decided to play their home matches at the University of Ghana Stadium because of planned maintenance work at the Accra Sports Stadium.
