Ho: Man found dead, wrapped in plastic under bridgeAccording to the report by Modern Ghana today, the residents of Volta Region were left in shock after a prominent businessman, Mr. Samuel Kudzo, was found murdered inside his home just days after returning from a trip to London.
The tragic discovery was made on Friday morning when neighbors noticed unusual silence around his usually busy house.
According to the Volta Regional Police, Mr. Kudzo, who was in his late 40s, had returned to Ghana earlier in the week after spending a month abroad on business.
He was well-known in the area for owning multiple shops and being actively involved in local development projects.
Police reports indicate that the businessman’s body was discovered in the living room with visible signs of struggle.
“There were marks on his neck, suggesting he may have been strangled. We also found broken furniture, which shows there might have been a fight before his death,” said Police Inspector Joseph Tetteh, who is leading the investigation.
A neighbor, Madam Afia Mensah, said she last saw Mr. Kudzo on Wednesday evening.
“He looked happy and greeted us warmly as always. I can’t believe he’s gone. He was a kind man who supported many people in this community,” she said tearfully.
Another resident, Kwame Dela, shared that they became suspicious after noticing that Mr. Kudzo’s house remained locked during the day.
“We tried calling him, but his phone was off. That’s when we informed the police,” he explained.
When the police arrived, they broke into the house and found Mr. Kudzo lying lifeless on the floor. Initial investigations suggest that the attackers might have gained access through a back window, which was found broken.
“This is a clear case of murder, and we are treating it as such. We are working tirelessly to identify the culprits and bring them to justice,” Inspector Tetteh assured the public.
The police also revealed that some personal items, including Mr. Kudzo’s wallet and a laptop, were missing, raising suspicions of a robbery gone wrong.
The tragic death of Mr. Samuel Kudzo has left the community in mourning, with many demanding swift action from the authorities.
