The King of the Igbo community in Ghana, His Royal Majesty Eze Dr. Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu, has praised the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu.

Extending his goodwill messages to the Muslim community, Ihenetu highly praised the Imam, describing him “as a beacon of peace who has, over the years, made significant efforts in fostering peace and unity among the Muslim community and other religious groups in the country.”

According to him, the Imam has paid his dues by consistently working to unite and promote strong relationships among Ghanaians and beyond.

He added that the deeds of Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, particularly his wisdom, humility, and peaceful nature, have inspired both Muslims and non-Muslims to follow his example, fostering lasting peace among all religious faiths in Ghana.

Ihenetu proceeded to advise “Nigerians living in Ghana to avoid any attitudes or behaviors that could cause conflict and to coexist peacefully with their Ghanaian counterparts”, emphasising the strong historical, cultural, and economic ties shared by the two countries.

He further urged Nigerians to protect the peace they are enjoying in Ghana through tolerance, cooperation, and coexistence to sustain Ghana and Nigeria identity as one people.
