Vicky Pattison has revealed why her husband Ercan Ramadan was an ‘unlikely choice’ as she discussed their future plans for children.
The TV personality, 37, married Ercan, 31, at London’s Marylebone Town Hall in August before they continued their celebrations in October with a big Italian party in Puglia.
Speaking in an interview on Saturday, Vicky explained how her husband is ‘very different’ from all the ‘alpha male’ types she has dated in the past.
She told OK! Magazine: ‘I tried relationships with those people, but I’ve realised, the loudest person in the room is often the most insecure. I was left with heartache every time.
‘We love each other for our differences. He’s making me more patient, calm and thoughtful. I like to think I’m making him more ambitious and proactive.’
In 2023, the couple Vicky bravely shared candid updates about their egg-freezing journey after spending £7,000 on the procedure.

Joking that she would like to ‘get one in before 40,’ she discussed their plans to have children in the future.
‘Everyone thought we’d try for kids quite quickly – so did we! But we’re going to enjoy being married, for at least a year. I’d love a honeymoon first!,’ she explained.
After five years of dating, the couple committed to each other in front of family and close friends including Strictly star Pete Wicks, who took on the role of Vicky’s flower girl.
Following a stressful year of planning her big days, Vicky says finally putting on her stunning designer gowns made all her anxieties disappear.
And she was relieved by Ercan’s ‘perfect’ response to seeing her in her main dress, a Leah Da Gloria gown from luxury bridal store The Wedding Club.
Vicky told MailOnline: ‘I don’t want to spoil the show but I was really hoping Ercan would cry when he saw me in my main dress, the Leah de Gloria, from The Wedding Club…
‘He’s not the most emotional of fellas and I felt like that would have been a huge win for me. In the end, his reaction was perfect.’
Vicky has described her Italian wedding as the most ‘special’ and ‘magical’ day of her life.

The whole event was captured for E4’s new series, Vicky Pattison: My Big Fat Geordie Wedding.
The reality star previously shared her ‘heartbreak’ over the amount of money she has forked out to pay for her and Ercan’s ‘dream wedding’.
She revealed that the eye-watering price she splashed out on both weddings costs ‘the same price as a house’ – but it still ‘wasn’t enough budget’ for what she wanted.
From purchasing four wedding dresses to wear on her big day, to two stunning locations and a jaw-dropping welcome dinner, Vicky was certain to pull off a once in a lifetime day.
The pair got engaged in the summer of 2019, when Ercan proposed to her on the beach in Dubai.
He popped the question with a stunning emerald-cut solitaire with a diamond band. British jeweller Rox predicted that the piece would cost around £200,000.
And now Vicky is hoping to help others find love as it is revealed the TV star is to host her dating show.
The Honesty Box is a new nine-part reality dating experiment for E4.
It will test if honesty is the secret to finding true and everlasting love.
The show will use cutting-edge AI technology to test the honesty of new couples as they battle it out to win a cash prize of up to £100,000.
