Scenes from the funeral of late Naa Amanua Dodoo
It was a sobber and grief-stricken atmosphere as families, friends, sympathisers, and members of the creative arts industry gathered to bid farewell to the late Naa Amanua Dodoo, the lead vocalist of the Wulomei group.
As its often the case with funerals, the moment that made the reality of her passing finally set in for mourners was when the casket was lifted and carried to the burial site.
In an exclusive video shared by GhanaWeb, family members and sympathisers were seen drowned in tears as the pallbearers lifted the late Naa Amanua Dodoo’s remains.
The late vocalist was laid to rest in a unique microphone-shaped coffin, a symbol of her invaluable contribution to the music industry.
The funeral ceremony, which took place at the forecourt of the State House in Accra on Saturday, March 29, 2025, was attended by notable personalities, including Pat Thomas, Bessa Simons, Mr. Beautiful, George Quaye, and Deputy Chief of Staff Nana Oye Bampo Addo, among others.
Deputy Chief of Staff Nana Oye Bampo Addo delivered a tribute on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama.
