President John Dramani Mahama
President John Dramani Mahama has reminded Ghanaians of the upcoming public holidays on Monday, March 31, 2025, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, in observance of this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations.
While addressing the Muslim community during the breaking of the fast on Thursday, March 28, 2025, he urged them to complete their bank transactions ahead of the holidays.
“For those of you who need to go to the bank, you should do so in advance because once they close, you won’t have banking access until Wednesday. So, be sure to prepare for the long weekend after work.
We won’t be returning to work until Wednesday morning. We are all going to celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr together,” he stated.
The Ministry of Interior has officially declared Monday, March 31, 2025, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, as public holidays for this year’s Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations.
A press release issued on Saturday, March 22, 2025, and signed by the Minister of Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, stated that Eid-Ul-Fitr will be observed on either Sunday, March 30, or Monday, March 31, 2025.
