Sharaf Mahama, the son of Ghana’s current President, John Dramani Mahama, is gaining recognition in both sports and politics. Born in Accra, he comes from a politically influential family, with his father having served as President and his mother, Lordina Mahama, being a key figure as well.

Sharaf has two brothers, Jesse and Shahid, and a sister, Jesse. He completed his secondary education at the International School of Ghana before continuing his studies at the American University in Dubai.

Sharaf has been passionate about football from an early age, playing as an attacker for Yellow-Red KV Mechelen in Belgium during the 2015-2016 season. His playing career included 11 appearances and 1 goal in the Verbandsliga Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. After retiring from playing, Sharaf transitioned to sports management and became a licensed FIFA agent in May 2024.
