Popular Ghanaian prophet, Kofi Oduro, has called on President John Dramani Mahama to remove all executives and members of the Ghana Football Association (GFA). According to him, the GFA leaders have a “wicked mindset” and do not deserve to be in charge of Ghana’s football affairs. He urged John Mahama to sack them now else they will destroy his government.
Prophet Kofi Oduro made these strong statements following the recent poor performances of the Black Stars. He believes that the team’s continuous defeats in international matches are a result of bad leadership at the GFA.
“The Black Stars players are not playing well. Someone should stand up and sack all the executives at the Ghana Football Association. They are all wicked-minded people. They don’t have a good heart. God will punish them,” he declared.
According to the outspoken prophet, the GFA is responsible for the struggles of the national team because they select the wrong players. He claimed that instead of choosing the best players based on skill and experience, the association favors those with political connections or financial influence.
He further accused the GFA of neglecting talented footballers who genuinely deserve to play for the national team. In his view, this practice is the main reason the Black Stars continue to lose matches, despite the expectations of Ghanaians.
The Black Stars’ recent performances have sparked disappointment among football fans, with many questioning the leadership of the GFA. Prophet Kofi Oduro’s comments reflect the frustrations of many Ghanaians who believe that changes must be made to improve the country’s football.
It remains to be seen whether President Mahama or the GFA will respond to the prophet’s call. However, with the national team’s poor results, pressure continues to mount on the football association to make significant changes.
