Ernest Owusu Bempah, Deputy Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), has applauded President John Dramani Mahama for appointing COP Christian Yohuno as the Inspector General of Police.
He touted the enormous contributions of the new IGP to the Ghana Police Service. Owusu-Bempah, who is an ardent critic of the President, firmly stated that Mahama has made a good decision by appointing COP Christian Yohuno as the leader of the Ghana Police Service.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, the outspoken NPP communicator disclosed that he recommended Christian Tetteh Yohunu to Former President Nana Akufo Addo but he did not act on it. According to him, he desperately wanted Christian Tetteh Yohunu to become the IGP under the previous administration, stressing that he is cut out for the role.
Ernest Owusu-Bempah highlighted some of COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno’s success stories in the police service, mentioning that he was able to arrest some hardened criminals that the Service found difficult to deal with.
