The Acting Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko recently held stakeholder discussions with the management of Afriwave Telecom Ghana Limited, led by the company’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Francis Poku at the NCA Tower in Accra.
The visit aimed to officially introduce Afriwave Telecom’s management team and provide updates on the implementation and progress of the Interconnect Clearing House (ICH).
Francis Poku, on behalf of Afriwave Telecom, extended his congratulations to Rev. Ing. Fianko on his appointment as Acting Director General of the NCA.
“We believe that under your leadership, the NCA will continue to create an enabling environment for telecom service providers. Afriwave is committed to working closely with the Authority to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements while delivering the best interconnection services,” he stated.
He further emphasised the need for continuous collaboration between Afriwave and the NCA, adding, “We look forward to your support in strengthening the telecom sector and ensuring efficiency in interconnectivity.”
Welcoming the Afriwave team, Rev. Ing. Edmund Fianko expressed his appreciation for their visit.
“The NCA is pleased to engage with stakeholders like Afriwave Telecom, as collaboration is key to the growth of Ghana’s telecom industry,” he noted.
He also acknowledged the concerns raised by the company and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with them.
“Our goal is to create a robust and transparent telecommunications landscape that benefits all Ghanaians. We will continue to work with all industry players to achieve this,” Rev. Ing. Fianko assured.
