Ghanaian gospel musician, Empress Gifty
Ghanaian gospel musician, Empress Gifty, has declared her intention to take legal action against individuals mocking her online and those tarnishing her brand for personal gain.
Since her mother’s funeral, Empress Gifty has been the subject of discussion on social media.
She first issued threats of lawsuits to netizens, particularly bloggers who criticised her for visiting her mother’s grave to sprinkle powder and engaging in what some perceived as attention-seeking behaviour.
She issued a stern warning on United Showbiz, threatening to take action against anyone who uses her name to chase clout.
In a recent development, after making headlines once again for undergoing a facial cosmetic procedure, Empress Gifty has returned to social media with more threats of lawsuits against those criticising her new appearance.
In a video circulating online, she responded to comments on her posts that claimed her new look appeared worse without makeup.
“No makeup, of course, I am not wearing makeup. I will be taking legal action against those tarnishing my hard-earned reputation. I will issue a lawsuit against some people next week. In this year 2025, I will start making use of the law, and you people will start respecting the brand ‘Empress.’ I will make good use of the law. So those who are fond of talking about me should continue,” she stated in a video making rounds online.
She added, “You will be remorseful when my lawyers serve you. Right now, I am an orphan, so I won’t talk much.”
