Everton fans will have enjoyed watching Liverpool dumped from the Champions League on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
It was a thrilling two-leg clash, which saw Arne Slot’s side incredibly lucky to take any sort for result back to Anfield.
However, Everton fans got to see their city rivals crash out through a penalty shootout after being taken right to the very end by the Ligue 1 outfit.
David Moyes joked about Liverpool’s Champions League game against PSG during an interview with BBC ahead of kick off.
And he was not the only one from Goodison Park joking about the clash.
Idrissa Gana Gueye has strong ties to PSG, having played there for a number of years, and it is fair to say he enjoyed the game on Tuesday evening.

Gueye had been left gutted by Kevin Thelwell’s Everton exit, as the director of football prepares to move on over the summer.
The 35-year-old has become a real fan favourite at Goodison, with some seriously impressive performances in the middle of the park.
And Everton fans will have loved what he shared on his Instagram account on Tuesday night as he celebrated Liverpool’s Champions League exit from Anfield.
With the game being decided on penalties, PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma proved the hero by saving two Liverpool penalties.
As Gueye recorded the penalties and his celebrations, the Senegal international simply captioned the stories: ‘Merci Donnarumma’.

Everton want to hand Gueye a new contract ahead of his current deal expiring this summer.
And he continues to prove a hit amongst the fans, with the midfielder not holding back his celebrations, despite being in the hospitality section at Anfield.

The midfielder was not the only Everton representative in the crowd as he watched the game with former Everton striker Oumar Niasse.
His compatriot left Everton back in 2020 after signing for the Toffees back in 2016.

In Niasse’s 42 appearances for the Toffees, he was able to return nine goals and three assists, with the majority of those appearances coming from the bench.
An unexpected reunion on Merseyside, but certainly one the Evertonians will have enjoyed seeing with the result going in their favour.
