Frank Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Appiah Stadium
Frank Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Appiah Stadium, a Kumasi-based political activist and staunch supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has stated that President John Dramani Mahama is like a God to him due to the kindness he has received from him.
According to Appiah Stadium, he has had close relationships with past presidents and influential leaders in Ghana, including former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and former Minister of Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen. However, he believes Mahama stands out among them all.
Speaking in an interview on March 11, 2025, he acknowledged that President Akufo-Addo was generous to him, sometimes giving him money without even counting it. Despite this, he insists that Mahama remains his preferred choice because of the personal support he has received from him.
One of the key reasons for his unwavering loyalty to Mahama, he explained, was the support the President gave him during a critical moment in his personal life.
“He flew and sponsored my wife’s surgery abroad, so John Mahama is like my God,” he revealed.
Appiah Stadium also shared insights into Akufo-Addo’s temperament, claiming that the President lacks patience and gets angry easily.
“I have worked with all of them, Akufo-Addo, Kufuor, Alan, but John Mahama has been the best to me,” he stated.
“When it comes to sharing money, Akufo-Addo, back when he was at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, could give you dollars without even counting them… but he doesn’t have patience; small issues make him angry.”
