Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson
The Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has assured Ghanaians that he will remain mindful of their needs.
This assurance follows his visit to Makola Market, where he assessed how market women are faring with their sales and how the economy is impacting their activities.
He emphasized that the government will always consider the needs of the people when formulating policies and programs, adding that he will continue to engage with them.
“I am deeply grateful to all our compatriots at Makola who welcomed me with open hearts, sharing your thoughts, fears, challenges, and ideas. I assure you that I will always remain mindful of your needs, and as a government, we will do all we can to truly represent you. This is just the beginning of many meaningful engagements—we are here to serve you! #ResettingGhana #Budget2025 #TogetherWeGrow,” he shared in a post on social media.
The Finance Minister is set to present the first budget of the John Dramani Mahama administration to the people of Ghana on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
Ghanaians expect that there will be no new taxes and that some of the so-called “nuisance taxes,” such as the E-Levy, COVID-19 tax, and betting tax, among others, will be scrapped as promised by the government.
