I have NDC membership card but I’ve not been ardent

Political Marketing Lecturer and Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company, Prof. Kobby Mensah, has disclosed that he previously held a National Democratic Congress (NDC) party card.

“I’ve had an NDC card in the past, but I haven’t been ardent, if I should put it that way,” he said while speaking on Accra-based Joy FM.

Prof. Kobby Mensah, who has been a major critic of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government as a political marketing expert, revealed that he has always leaned toward leftist ideology, despite his extensive research on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its campaign strategies over the years.

“I am absolutely to the left. I am left-leaning in terms of my ideology. The conversation about party affiliation depends on how you define it.

If you define it by ideological leanings, then you would associate me with the NDC because of my ideological beliefs. If you define it by membership, some might say political membership means holding a party card; in that case, that is another conversation. But I can tell you that I’m absolutely left-leaning,” he said in an interview with Joy FM.
