Cletus Chevure, Kadjebi District Co-ordinating Director (DCD), has urged Ghanaians to recommit themselves to the values that have always defined Ghanaians.

‘Let us work together to create a Ghana that is just, equitable, and prosperous for all,” he said.

Chevure said this during the observation of 68th Independence Day anniversary at Kadjebi in the Oti Region.

The DCD also charged the citizenry to harness the country’s natural resources, human capital, and technological prowess to drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

“As we mark this 68th anniversary of our independence, let us draw inspiration from the words of our first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, who said, ” The independent of Ghana is meaningless unless it is linked up with the total liberation of the African continent”, he said.

Chevure called for commitment to this vision of a united, prosperous, and peaceful Africa.

The District marked the day with clean-up exercise and quiz competition involving four basic schools.

Present were the Kadjebi District Police Commander, Supt. Frank Nana Asomaning, the Kadjebi District Director of Education, Mr. Seth Seyram Deh Mr. Daniel Agbesi Latsu, Kadjebi NCCE District Director, among others.
