Could Saka And Martinelli Return? – Arsenal Predicted XI vs Manchester United

Arsenal will make the trip to Old Trafford to play against rivals Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners are all but out of the Premier League title race, but will be flying high after what was an exceptional 7-1 win against PSV in the Champions League during the week.

Captain Martin Odegaard was the stand-out performer for Arsenal, scoring two goals and providing an assist, which is impressive considering his poor form this season.

They face a Manchester United side who are 14th in the Premier League table and have lost three of their last four league games under Ruben Amorim.

Considering that both teams will be dissatisfied with their position in the table, it could be quite a feisty affair between two sides who have a history of tough derby matches. Click the next page to see our predicted XI for Arsenal…

Calafiori comes in for suspended Lewis-Skelly

GK – David Raya – Raya keeps his place in the starting XI for Arsenal after he got to watch a lot of quality attacking play against PSV midweek.

LB – Riccardo Calafiori – Calafiori will come into the team in order to replace Myles Lewis-Skelly who is suspended.

CB – Gabriel – The Brazilian defender will be ready for a rivalry game, usually fixtures that he thrives in.

CB – William Saliba – The Frenchman stays in the team, hoping to keep Rasmus Hojlund’s poor scoring season going.

RB – Jurrien Timber – Timber scored during the game against PSV on Tuesday night.

Odegaard looks to continue his form in Arsenal midfield

CM – Declan Rice – Rice will be keen to get on the scoresheet against United as he failed to against PSV.

CM – Thomas Partey – This game is set to be Partey’s last game against Manchester United as an Arsenal player.

CM – Martin Odegaard – The Norway international was superb against PSV, he will be hoping for more of the same on Sunday.

Merino starts up front again

LW – Leandro Trossard – Trossard scored against PSV, and will stay in place of Gabriel Martinelli, who won’t be fit for Sunday’s game.

RW – Ethan Nwaneri – It looks like Bukayo Saka will also miss the game against United, so Nwaneri will be expecting to get the start.

ST – Mikel Merino – Merino scored against PSV when he played as a striker in place of the injured Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.
