Man Utd fans all saying same thing about Bruno Fernandes after performance vs Fulham, ‘seriously’ question is so true

Manchester United fans wasted no time speaking out on Bruno Fernandes after the Red Devils star’s display against Fulham in the fifth round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils kicked off their FA Cup trophy defence back in January after 10-man Manchester United secured a stunning penalty shootout win over Arsenal.

Following their third-round FA Cup win at the Emirates, Ruben Amorim’s men welcomed Leicester City to Old Trafford for their fourth-round FA Cup tie.

United came from behind and sealed a late 2-1 win against Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City side in February and punched their ticket to the fifth round.

The Red Devils lifted the FA Cup trophy at the end of the 2023-24 campaign after Erik ten Hag led United to a sensational 2-1 win over Manchester City last May.

However, United have been without Erik ten Hag for this season’s FA Cup campaign after the Dutchman was axed by the Premier League club last October.

Ruben Amorim’s side hosted Fulham late Sunday afternoon only days after United’s 3-2 Premier League comeback win against Ipswich Town at Old Trafford.

Man Utd fans react to Fernandes’ display vs Fulham

Bruno Fernandes was met with heavy criticism from Manchester United legend Roy Keane during an episode of The Overlap’s Stick to Football show earlier this week.

Roy Keane dropped a scathing assessment on the 30-year-old current United captain and clashed with Arsenal legend Ian Wright over Bruno Fernandes’ influence and impact at the club.

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, waxed lyrical about Fernandes’ importance to the United first team after his performance against Fulham.

One fan asked: “I hope Roy Keane is watching Bruno Fernandes?”

Another wrote: “That rant from Keano was annoying, TBH. Bruno basically carries us [and] we’d be in the relegation zone without him, so for Keane to go in on him of all people was weird.”

Someone else commented: “Bruno Fernandes. Take that, Roy Keane.”

“Roy Keane should really apologise to Bruno,” a fourth said.

While a fifth posted: “Bruno United FC. [The] best way to respond to Roy Keane is to perform on the pitch and he’s the only one who’s put 100 [per cent] in today.”

And a sixth X user tweeted: “I need Roy Keane to come out and talk about Bruno again.”

“Y’all need to start putting respect on that boy Bruno’s name,” another argued.

Somebody else suggested: “Roy Keane reckons Bruno is the problem. Seriously?”

Man Utd vs Fulham in the FA Cup

United went into half-time 1-0 down in the FA Cup tie after once again showing vulnerabilities from a set piece under Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim.

Former Red Devils player Andreas Pereira whipped in a corner and Rodrigo Muniz managed to connect with the ball and flicked it towards Calvin Bassey.

Calvin Bassey then fired a close-range header past a helpless Andre Onana and Marco Silva’s men took the lead at Old Trafford in first-half injury time.

United finally climbed back into the FA Cup contest in the 71st minute after Bruno Fernandes stepped up and found the all-important equaliser for Amorim’s men.

Diogo Dalot picked out Fernandes with a low cross and the United midfielder fired a stunning first-time finish past Fulham’s Bernd Leno and forced the tie to extra time.

Neither United nor Fulham could break the deadlock and the fifth-round FA Cup tie had to be settled through a penalty shootout.
