Leicester City are really struggling this season but a former player is having a great 2024/25.
The Foxes are in serious danger of being relegated back down to the Championship after just one campaign in the top flight.
Leicester City lost to West Ham United last time out, leaving them 19th in the Premier League and five points adrift of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Overturning a five-point gap with 11 games to play is by no means impossible but given the form the Foxes are in right now, it seems very unlikely to happen.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has overseen 11 losses in his last 12 Premier League matches as manager despite playing several games that, on paper, should have at least seen Leicester get a couple of points.
They now face Chelsea and Manchester United in March before meetings with the likes of Newcastle United, Manchester City and Liverpool.
While things are not going to plan for Leicester, however, one of their former players is having an excellent 2024/25.

Former Leicester City player Caglar Soyuncu thriving at Fenerbahce
The man in question is Caglar Soyuncu, who joined Leicester in August 2018 from German side SC Freiburg.
The centre-back made 132 appearances during his time at the King Power Stadium, in which he scored four and assisted one.
Soyuncu was part of the Leicester side that beat Chelsea in the 2020/21 FA Cup final, completing 90 minutes of the showpiece.
But he only made seven Premier League appearances in 2022/23 before leaving on a free transfer in the summer of 2023 to join Atletico Madrid, who loaned him to Fernebahce in January 2024 before selling him to the Turkish side this past summer.
The 28-year-old has so far made 31 appearances in all competitions for Jose Mourinho’s side this season, scoring twice.
Fenerbache are second in the Super Lig after 24 matches and are currently battling with Galatasaray for top spot, sitting six points adrift at present.
They are also competing in the Europa League and will face Rangers in a Round of 16 tie next week.

What Caglar Soyuncu said about leaving Leicester City
His time at Atletico did not work out, but the defender is now playing some of the best football of his career in Turkey.
After winning the FA Cup and spending several years at Leicester, Soyuncu penned a touching message to fans, as per Leicestershire Live.
He said: “Dear Leicester fans, my family! Today, I am saying goodbye to the club that I consider as home and where I have felt immense pride while wearing the shirt week in, week out. Of course, saying goodbye is never easy. I arrived here as a kid, now I’m leaving as a man.
“It was an honour to wear our blue kit and fight for you. We experienced it all together, from the amazing times to the more difficult periods. But even during those bad times I felt home. And that’s completely thanks to you. Your chants, your support, your trust made me the player I am today.
“However, the time has come for a new adventure. You will always have a special place in my heart. Our bond will last forever. Thank you!”
