Cole Palmer and two Chelsea teammates make up the entire top three in Premier League statistic this season

An eye-catching piece of data highlights that three Chelsea players sit top in one individual Premier League statistic so far this season, including Cole Palmer.

Even though Chelsea’s form has been inconsistent in the Premier League this year, several of their stars are enjoying fantastic campaigns.

The Blues are still firmly in the hunt for Champions League qualification because they currently sit fifth in the Premier League table.

Cole Palmer is enjoying another standout season during his second year at Stamford Bridge, although he’s going through his first real dip as a Chelsea player in the last month or so. Frank Leboeuf confidently predicts Palmer will respond and get back to his very best quite soon.

It’s fascinating to see that Palmer, along with Chelsea central midfielders Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, have the best success rate in England’s top division when it comes to long passes.

Player Club Long pass accuracy
Cole Palmer Chelsea 69%
Enzo Fernandez Chelsea 64%
Moises Caicedo Chelsea 61%
Bruno Fernandes Manchester United 57%
Ederson Manchester City 57%

Fernandez loves playing with Caicedo, and between them they’ve got the technical qualities to dictate play in the centre of the park. In front of them, you add creative playmaker Palmer in the No 10 position to sprinkle even more magic.

The Blues midfield looks extremely formidable, especially when Romeo Lavia is fit and competing for a starting position.

Enzo Fernandez is emerging as key Chelsea player

Not only is Fernandez’s long-range passing on the money, but he does most aspects of the game to a very high standard.

The 24-year-old box-to-box midfielder is certainly thriving in the Blues XI. In fact, Jason Cundy has noticed a change in Fernandez because he’s noticed him showing a lot more leadership on the football pitch.

Moises Caicedo 7.29

The expectation is always high on Fernandez because of his £107m price tag two years ago, but he’s got the ability to be a significant figure in Enzo Maresca’s side moving forward.

For any striker leading the line for Chelsea, they should always be looking to threaten in behind when they’ve got the passing ammunition of Fernandez, Caicedo and Palmer behind them.
