Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II (L) with Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II
The Paramount Chief of the Buipe Traditional Area in the Savannah Region, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II, has praised the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his victory in the National House of Chiefs elections.
The Buipewura, who contested and won the vice president position in the House of Chiefs, indicated that he would have lost the election but for the support of the Asantehene.
The paramount chief, who made these remarks when he called on the Asantehene at the Manhyia on February 26, 2025, went on to describe the Asantehene as his God on earth.
“Your life is important to me. God should give you long life. God should give you long life so that you would continue to hold the whole of Ghana together. I come here to show gratitude to you, to say thank you. You are my God on this earth. Thank you.
“Because of you, out of the 73, I got 54 votes. This was because of your blessings and support, so I couldn’t sit down without giving honour to whom it is due,” the Buipewura said.
Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II asked the Asantehene to continue supporting him in his new role as he has been doing.
“There is a lot ahead of me, and I pray that you would share your God-given wisdom with me when I call on you either day or night.
“This is not the only support you have given me. People don’t know this. I was removed from my stool, but Nana said that this can’t happen,” he added.
